We were inspired by one of the most exclusive, oldest and most dangerous winter sports in the Swiss Alpine region: the ‘Cresta Run’ (1885) – where sled racing originated.

The combination of sporty elegance and a confident business look away from the track makes for an impressive appearance virtually year round.

An S-H Cashmere Hood detachable via our F-SIS (FUR-SET INDIVIDUALISATION SYSTEM) protects you against cold air and snow in cold winter months.

You can customise your Casual Jacket with various Fur Sets. Dress to fit the occasion: Raccoon, Coyote, Rex Rabbit, Fur, Persian Lamb or artificial fur, as well as cowhide instead of fur (additional charge). With our wide variety of customisation options you can personalise your look to keep you fit for any occasion.

Cashmere with a fibre density of 420g/m².

Whether rain, sleet, bitter cold or frosty gusts, our S-H Cashmere warms your body even in the worst weather conditions.

Our carefully selected cashmere has a fibre density of 420 g/m², creating a windproof woven barrier from pure natural fibre. Cashmere wool fibre is only seven to nineteen microns in diameter.

By comparison, conventional wool fibre is more than thirty-six microns in diameter, two to five times thicker, resulting in a more porous weave.

The inside of your Suvretta Cashmere Casual Jacket – Unique Couture is made of 100% S-H Cashmere as well. Thus during transpiration your Casual Jacket is more breathable compared to synthetic materials.

Four meters of high-quality cashmere are used to make your Suvretta Cashmere Casual Jacket UC.

Cashmere Goat Fur

The hair of the Cashmere goat

Cashmere wool comes from the hair of the Cashmere goat.

This fine and ultra soft fibre is obtained not by shearing but by hand combing and hand collecting the hair shed by the Cashmere goat during spring moulting.

Only 150 to 200 grams of this fluffy wool can be obtained from each animal per year. This modest yield from time-intensive and highly skilled manual labour in remote regions makes cashmere the most valuable wool in the world.

Fur & Leather - Traditional Natural Raw Materials

Furs and leather have offered us natural protection against cold, wind and snow for millennia.

Traditionally sewn onto a thin cowhide layer, the furs are especially supple and provide maximum insulation at the sensitive head and shoulder area. All other leather parts of the jacket are crafted from calfskin.

Furthermore we offer faux fur which is sewn on a thin layer of Nylon. (Mink-, Raccoon-, Rabbit-Style)

To satisfy a customer’s request we were inspired by the so-called ‘Cresta Kiss’.

A kiss may sound gentle, but there’s more to a Cresta Kiss than that.

Due to the rapid manoeuvring needed to negotiate the tight curves on the track, a driver (‘Rider’) repeatedly bangs his elbows against the frozen solid track walls, risking serious injury.

Since elbows are exposed to extreme danger not only on the ice track, but also in normal falls, we outfitted this portion of the Casual Jacket with an extra-strength 3-layered protective barrier.

The 1616 work ‘Art of War on Horseback’ by the military writer Johann Jakob von Wallhausen device revealed an easy way for cavalry soldiers to carry their guns. This small closable hook has travelled a triumphal course since then.

Today it is known as a carabiner and is indispensible for climbing, diving and air sports due to its ability to securely fasten materials, in addition to its use as a jewellery and design element.

A clever pocket carabiner system that keeps your ski pass and keys at your fingertips. Losing your keys during sports or après-ski is a thing of the past. Second, as a removable SureSnap Wardrobe Carabiner (‘clip on – clip off’) in the shape of a clothes hook. Now you can easily and conveniently get to your jacket at the lodge even when other coats are stacked in front of yours.
